Is it pronounced “Fox Wood” or “Foe Wood”? 

…It’s pronounced “Foe”, the word Faux is of French origin meaning false compared to the real thing which in this case are wood blinds.

 

Will I have to wait around all day for my appointment?  

…When scheduling an appointment with Sunny Day Shades, Shutters & Blinds we consider your time equally  as valuable as ours. We will contact you in route via call confirming our status. Expect to see us on time or early. 

 

How long will my order take since everything is custom made? 

…Most vendors can normally ship within 3-4 weeks. So we will usually estimate between 3-5 weeks order to installation.

 

If I order window treatments and my new house isn’t ready what happens?

…We are happy to store your products in our environmentally controlled warehouse. If a much larger delay takes place we ask that you pay your balance and we will store them up to 6 months before additional fees will be added.

 

Do you charge for a consult?

…There is no charge for a consultation we are happy to meet with you in person or chat over the phone. 

 

Can I afford custom window treatments?

…Obviously, not every person’s budget will work, but we do ask that you help us find a suitable window treatment for your budget. 

 

Is getting motorization worth the cost? 

…That is a personal question that needs to be answered by you. I like to use the analogy of a TV remote, “if offered a huge TV for free that had no ability to be adjusted except by hand….would you take it?”

 

Will my Alexa, smart phone…etc be able to operate my shades?

…The simple answer is yes, the degree of automation is directly limited or not limited by your choice of product. Not all automation is the same. 

 

Do my shades have to be prewired/hardwired for power?

…Every job is different but most products have long lasting LiOn rechargeable batteries or well hidden alkaline replaceable batteries. As well small solar panels for easier recharge can be installed.

 

Do you do repairs? 

…We are more than happy to look at your existing window coverings and will give an estimate or repair it on site if salvageable.

Why is everything going cordless? 

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) created regulations for child safety June 1, 2024. In response to this all manufactures have discontinued making any corded products. Manual controls are either cordless or a secured system that locks automatically.
